Ho Chi Minh City 2007
Ho Chi Minh just opened their new airport last month (October). The airport is much bigger than the old one and certainly nicer.
Ho Chi Minh City today.
It wasn't all fun in Vietnam while I was there, I actually conducted strategy and research training for our client and staff the whole day. I am supposed to be only helping my strategic planner to conduct the training however, while I was in Bangkok Airport she phoned me that she just found out that her passport was expired. Poor me, I end up talking from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The Thai community in Vietnam organized Loy Khratong and I attended the celebration together with some friends and FCB staff in Vietnam. There's so much food, beer and liquor but of course I settled for water.
This Fusion restaurant at the Palace Hotel is one of the best. I really enjoy eating steak or salmon being cooked on top of a volcano stone -- your food will be hot even up to 2 hours. They already know us so each time we go there they give us free red wine and salad.
Each time I visit Vietnam there's always some changes, they are actually growing pretty fast. The last time I was there was May 2007. It's always good to see old friends and one of my favorite food is the shrimp cooked in coconut.
